The importance of phonics for Early Elementary is based on developing students' awareness for paramount English sounds. Phonics is based on synthetic phonology, which is an approach that helps students familiarise with sounds in immediate contexts. Further, it supports students' linguistic developmental stage, so crafting and practicing across subjects is critical.
This time second grade students worked on crafting a paper lollipop. By doing this, students' get to manipulate content, practise fine and gross motor skills and develop creativity through meaningful learning experiences.
