THE EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT FROM THE FIRST MINUTE
My experience in the Student Exchange program in Saint John’s School in England. The program was about 8 weeks long, from October 26th to December 20th.
I decided to go there because I wanted to improve my English level, but also to learn from the experience of living abroad and meeting people from around the world.
The experience was great from the first minute since I had to go there by my own and I had never travelled alone before.
The first day was tough, I didn’t know anyone and It was difficult to understand the way they spoke English at first but anyways, people came closer and I was able to make new friends and I think that I could improve my English as well.
On the other hand, I am a fan of sports and the school gave me the opportunity to play Rugby. I hadn’t practiced it before and it was a very good experience that helped to enjoy my free time there.
I really recommend this experience since I was able to learn and to reflect on a lot things such as how entertaining is to make new friends, the importance of the English Language as a way of communication, living independently but most of all, how important is learning languages to learn, to broaden our horizons, to meet people and to connect with them.

I HAVE NEW GOALS FOR MY FUTURE
Last year I went to a small town in England called Sidmouth, to an Student Exchange Program at St John's School. I stayed in the school facilities for 7 weeks, that means that I went for the first short-term of the school, even though there were just 7 weeks, it was worth it because I met amazing people from different countries such as Spain, Mexico, France, Canada, New Zealand, England and from SEK Chile, people who I can called friends, and the ones who were part of the dorm in which I was, Somerset, family.
In those 7 weeks I lived as an english normal student. I had a schedule including my hours to get up, to have my meals, to study, and when I could use my electronic devices.
The first week was difficult, adapting to living under many and different rules, with unknown people, outside my comfort area, but I could get used to it, I got used to it super fast. Every day I liked more and more living in accordance with those new rules, going out every weekend, doing activities, living with my friends, etc. In fact, the last days there, I didn’t want to leave.
Now all I want is going back, back to England.
This Student exchange program, did 3 significantly things for me, it made me fall in love with the country, with the way people are, its culture, with everything belonging to this amazing beautiful nation. Secondly, made me a more independent, confident and responsible person than I was before. And the last but not the least, helped me improve my English and develop school and life skills.
As result of this experience I have new goals for my future that I know I will achieve.
